For some it’s uncomfortable to address and acknowledge the way your own behaviors are contributing to disparities, and that’s okay. We all have to get uncomfortable in order to grow. As providers and caregivers, it is the only way to ensure that every patient gets the same level of care and compassion, regardless of their personal history or racial background.
